For the last six years, the Festival in the City has run alongside the Fes Festival of World Sacred Music and contributes to the cultural presentation and gives Fes a festive air for over a week. This year, from 2 to 10 June, there will be concerts, Sufi nights, workshops to raise awareness and art exhibitions that reflect a desire to encompass various aspects of culture.

Staying within the imprint of the sacred and the spiritual, the Festival in the City spectators at venues such as Boujloud Square and the Tagemouati Sports Complex at Bensouda will enjoy a variety of singers and musicians both Moroccan and international, with both new talents and established artists. The musical programme this year has the theme Essence of Time, Spirit of Place. Sufi Nights are to be held at Dar Tazi as part of the Festival in the City, where religious brotherhoods share their song, poetry, music and rhythm that are part of their tradition. In addition, there are educational activities for the youth of Fes to bring awareness of our culture, featuring photography and music, with the titles Looking at Fes Heritage for Young People and Percussion and Rhythms of the World.
