Its weekly concerts at the National Auditorium of Music have become a point of reference for an eclectic public interested in everything musical. Today, ORCAM is one of the major touchstones of Spanish musical life.

ORCAM is invited to the most prestigious festivals. They have appeared at well-known venues such as the Palais de la Música of Valencia, the Palais des Festivals in Santander, the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, the Gran Teatro of Cordoba, the Auditorium Manuel de Falla in Granada, the Auditorium of Galicia, the Palais de l’Opéra in Coruña and the Teatro Real of Madrid where their concerts are always received with much enthusiasm.
ORCAM also regularly gives concerts broadcast by Spanish radio and television networks. ORCAM has been the resident orchestra of the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid since 1998.

Among many recordings on renowned labels such as EMI, Decca and Naxos, their most famous appearances have been with Maria Bayo and the great tenor Plácido Domingo.

In addition to director José Ramon Encinar and choirmaster Jordi Casas Bayer, many performers of international stature are often invited as guests, in particular Harry Christophers, Eric Ericson, Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Isaac Karabtchevsky, Robert King, Jan-Latham Koening, Peter Maag, Lorin Maazel, Paul McCreesh, Shlomo Mintz, Andrew Parrot, Krysztof Penderecki and Alberto Zedda.

ORCAM has also collaborated with soloists such as Aldo Ciccolini, Plácido Domingo, Shlomo Mintz, Pascal Rogé, Hansjörg Schellenberger and Isabelle van Keulen.

The orchestra is supported in its endeavours by the patronage of the Conseil de la Culture et des Sports of the Community of Madrid.
